Geo targeting lets one short link behave differently depending on where the visitor is. A single link teilen.bio/buy can send German visitors to your .de store, UK visitors to your .co.uk store, and everyone else to the global page. One link in your campaign, many correct destinations.
Why it matters
- Localised shops: currency and language match the visitor.
- Compliance: route users in restricted regions to the right page.
- App stores: send iOS users to the App Store and Android users to Google Play by region.
- Events: route each city to its own local event page.
How it works
When someone opens the short link, we look up their country from their IP address and follow the rule you set for that country. Visitors with no match fall through to a default destination, so nobody hits a dead end. You can add or change country rules any time without changing the short link.
Pair with analytics
Because every redirect is tracked, you can see which countries actually convert — not just which ones click. Combine with device targeting for full control. See plans.
