Splash Pages: Brand the Journey

3 mins read

A splash page is a short, branded page shown for a few seconds before the visitor is forwarded to the destination. Instead of an instant, anonymous redirect, the visitor sees your logo, your colours and a message — then lands on the target. It turns a click into a brand impression.

When to use a splash page

  • Announcements: a quick 'new product launching Monday' before the shop.
  • Age or content warnings before sensitive destinations.
  • Brand reinforcement when the destination is a third-party site.
  • Countdowns to an event or release.
  • Consent or language choice before entering.

Splash vs bio page vs direct

A direct redirect is fastest. A bio page is a destination in itself. A splash page sits in between: branded, but still forwards automatically. Use it when you want a moment of brand without making the visitor click again.

Keep it short

Two to five seconds is the sweet spot. Long splashes feel like ads and people bounce. Splash pages: 1 on Starter, 5 on Pro and Business. See plans.
