Security, Privacy and GDPR

You are handing a link platform your audience's click data. Here is what we do with it and how we keep it safe.

Hosted in the EU

teilen.bio runs on our own infrastructure in Germany. Your data does not silently flow to third-country clouds, which keeps the setup aligned with GDPR data-residency expectations for European customers.

Bot protection without surveillance

Public forms (registration, login, link reports) are protected by Altcha — a self-hosted proof-of-work challenge that blocks bots without sending your visitors to Google reCAPTCHA or Cloudflare. No third-party tracking, no 'I am not a robot' boxes, no fingerprinting by ad giants.

Abuse handling

Every short link can be reported. Reported links land in a review queue and can be disabled, and known phishing and malicious destinations are blocked at submission. The report form is open to anyone, so the community helps keep the namespace clean.

Your data, your call

You can export your links and statistics anytime, and delete your account and data when you no longer need it. Statistics retention scales with your plan (30/90/365 days) so you control how long history is kept. See plans.
